as a Christian, i do not believe in abortion. I understand how HORRIBLE, COMPLETELY insane and life changing rape is, but i dont understand why a child must die because of it. if you believe in God, or even in fate, surely you will agree that maybe that child might change the world one day? what would have happened if martin luther king's mother got an abortion? or mother teresa's? if my mother was raped, i would much rather live in an orphanage or with adopted parents than not be alive at all. everybody deserves a chance at life. whether they will be disabled mentally or physically, whether they grow up with their real family or adopted one, i still believe they have the right to be born. but my English teacher was talking to me about this a while ago, and she told me that her sister was pregnant, but there was something horribly wrong with the baby, so it would have died before it got born anyway. and furthermore, if the doctors just let it die naturally, it would have killed the mother. so from that information i can understand abortion would be the obvious option.
